Don’t worry the ostriches don’t know what it means either!
In lieu of Christmas cards, Czech’s send out a Happy New Year’s card with usually just the initials PF and the year on it.
Why? Because PF stands for ‘pour féliciter’, which is actually French for Happy New Year. And as I understand only Czechs do this not French (correct me if you know otherwise). For me its way easier than having to send out šťastný nový rok!
